This Privacy Policy describes how K2 Labs FZE ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the xList – Collaborative Tasks iOS application ("the App").
Personal data you provide. When you use shared/collaborative project features, the App collects a display name that you choose. This name is stored in our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) so that collaborators can see who created or assigned tasks.
Task and project data. Data you enter into shared projects (task titles, notes, due dates, priorities) is stored in Firebase Firestore to enable real-time sync between collaborators. Private (non-shared) project data is stored only on your device and never leaves it.
Voice recordings. If you use the voice task feature, short audio recordings are sent to the Groq API for transcription. Recordings are not retained by us or Groq after processing. No voice data is stored.
Subscription data. Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store payment information. We receive only a notification of your subscription status from Apple's StoreKit framework.
We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the App's collaboration features — specifically, to sync shared project and task data between users who have joined the same shared project using a share code.
The App uses the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
Shared project data is retained in Firebase Firestore for as long as the shared project exists. If you wish to delete your shared project data, you can delete the shared project from within the App, which removes all associated tasks, groups, and member records from our servers.
Private project data exists only on your device and is deleted when you use the "Reset All Data" option in Settings, or when you uninstall the App.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We take reasonable measures to protect information transmitted to and stored in Firebase Firestore, including using Firebase's built-in security rules to ensure users can only access shared project data they have explicitly joined. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
